The SPI (Spectro Peak Indicator) is actually eight meters in one easy to read display. Five meters show peak levels at each of five frequencies. Two more indicate VU readings for each of the stereo channels, and the eighth meter indicates peak levels of the composite of all frequencies.

Tape hiss is the bane of all recordists, but today weve conquered it with Dolby C noise reduction. Even the softest passages come through crystal clear, for noise (hiss) is automatically reduced by up to 20dB between 1kHz and 10kHz, while dynamic headroom is improved.

When you touch the Play button and then the RW (or FF) button, you are quickly whisked right to the beginning of the next song, or back to the beginning of the song currently in play. In this manner its easy to locate any particular song on the tape.
